Congrats ! The Newly Revised Syllabus of General Studies has given you a defining edge in G.S. preparations, as 300 -400 marks questions shall be dr awn from Geographical topics. World physical Geog., Environment & Ecology and economic geography with regional & resource development aspects sway largely over the syllabus. Political geography also accounts for certain topics of India & space relation with its neighbor, state reorganization & formation of new state, in ter state disputes, extremism, cross border terrorism etc; which are very much part of your syllabus (geography optional). Agriculture & industrial geography with contemporary & relevant matter need to be focused. Aspects of Indian economy have more geogra phical content. Eg ; - Cropping pattern, irrigation system, localization of Industries resource development, poverty, hunger, famine etc have inseparable linkages with the ...
